The Hill Center offers an eclectic mix of recognizable brands and independent boutiques.

Welcome to Green Hills

Upscale neighborhood with Nashville’s best shopping

Green Hills is an upscale neighborhood with a convenient location close to many of Nashville’s most visited neighborhoods. Green Hills is one of Nashville’s most desirable communities due to its abundant amenities and beautiful tree-covered lots on gently rolling hillsides. The Mall at Green Hills is a premier retail destination with four floors of restaurants and retailers. Shoppers from across Nashville and beyond flock to the Mall for its high-end fashion brands and the beautifully-designed furniture showrooms and café at the Mall’s epic Restoration Hardware. Many more services, shops, and eateries can be found in the Mall’s orbit, including the iconic The Bluebird Café. Green Hills homes are as diverse as the Mall’s businesses, ranging from starter family bungalows to newer custom-built mansions and large early 20th century classics.

Green Hills is a commercial hub with several large shopping centers and a wide range of restaurants and independent businesses. Green Hills’ flagship Restoration Hardware features a design gallery with outstanding ideas and concepts for the home. The beautiful RH Café is a highlight of the opulent Restoration Hardware building. Here, you can sip handcrafted coffee or premium wine in an enchanting space featuring olive trees and a 12-foot fountain beneath chandeliers and a soaring glass atrium. The Mall at Green Hills is one of Nashville’s premier retail destinations. The Mall has around 100 stores and 20 restaurants anchored by Dillard’s, Nordstrom, and Macy’s department stores. Other tenants include premium fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton and Michael Kors. The Mall at Green Hills is the centerpiece of a premium shopping paradise that also includes The Shops at Green Hills and The Hill Center. The Hill Center offers an eclectic mix of recognizable brands and independent boutiques. Popular stores at the Hill Center include Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Whole Foods Market. Just across the Hillsboro Pike from The Mall, there are even more restaurants and retailers at Greenbriar Village. Author Ann Patchett’s Parnassus Books is arguably Nashville’s best-loved bookstore. The large collection of books inside includes a lot of work from local writers and the store hosts over 100 in-store author events every year. True Food Kitchen is a nutrition-focused eatery with fresh seasonal food, plentiful vegan and gluten-free choices, and indulgent cocktails and desserts.

Things to Do

The Bluebird Café is one of Nashville’s most iconic performance spaces. This intimate venue showcases talented up-and-coming singer-songwriters. Its illustrious list of past performers includes Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Kacey Musgraves, and many others. Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift both landed their first record deals after record company representatives saw their early performances at The Bluebird Café. The Bluebird Café’s legendary status has seen it featured in the star-studded documentary Bluebird and in a major story arc on the hit TV show Nashville. The Bluebird Café has staged an average of two shows every night since it opened in 1982. This cozy venue can fit 90 spectators with fellow musicians often forming part of each performer’s crowd. Most performances are done “in the round,” with songwriters taking turns to take the stage, tell stories, and play their songs. Open Mic Nights held each Monday give anyone an opportunity to add their name to The Bluebird Café’s legacy.
